Washing cloth diapers is simple. Here is what I do to take care of our diapers. I use a diaper pail with a nylon sack to line it. Wet diapers go right in the pail. With messy diapers I shake off what I can into the toilet and then put the diaper in the pail. When the pail is full I remove the sack and dump the diapers into the washing machine, turn the sack inside out and throw it in too. I do one cold wash and then one hot wash. Machine dry or hang dry. That's all there is to it! Never use fabric softener on your diapers. It "coats" the fibers and will decrease their absorbency. Also never use bleach on your diapers. It will shorten their life.
